ENGLISH TRANSLATION
A place of Worship is a place that ought not to reject anyone’s entry, hence, all sorts of people gather in for worship, but history showed that in the area where the massacre occurred, it is not so. In time past, white would not allow the blacks to gather with them to worship. This led to the establishment of African American Churches by the African Americans. History also showed Sundays as the most dangerous days for the African Americans because as some White Americans were leaving the Church, they target African Americans to kill.
According to the Yoruba Christian adage “Though the kneeling may be the same, petitions differ”, meaning, no one knows the thought of another. On the evening of seventh of June, Two thousand and fifteen, about thirteen members of the Emmanuel African Methodist Church in Charleston, United States of America, gathered for Bible Study and prayer, a twenty-one year old White American male – Dylann Roof joined the gathering. As usual of the African American, they reject no one in their place of Worship hence they were not suspicious of him because he is white, Dylann Roof sat among them for about one hour before he began to fire his gun to kill.
Dylann Roof murdered nine innocent African Americans, because of his hatred for the Blacks. He carried out this dastardly act before fleeing the scene, but he was later arrested by the Police and has confessed that his motive was to “Start a Racial War”. Police have charged him for the murder of the nine victims. Court hearing begins on Friday, June Nineteen, Twenty Fifteen.
May the Lord comfort the families of the departed nine whose lives were suddenly cut short, and also grant the deceased souls eternal rest.
