ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Rain storm began early on Monday morning, 18 February, 2013. The rain storm destroyed homes and properties in Ogun state, Nigeria.
Yoruba proverb said “A forewarned war does not kill a wise cripple” or “to be forewarned is to be forearmed”. It is a pity that there was no warning or preparation for the people or the Government. It is surprising, for many years that Rain Storm and Flood from River Ogunpa has been causing mayhem in Ibadan yearly, no lesson has been learnt Oyo State Government to prevent the weeping and sorrow caused by this occurrence.
