The crime of Stuart Hall (aged 83) caught up with him 27 years after the crime of abusing underage girls for over a period of twenty years was uncovered.

Crime or bad conduct does not exclude the old or any race, as a result, we should all be watchful, especially parents.  According to Yoruba saying that “A thief was cut once, he/she claimed never to have been there, who showed him/her the way?”  When Stuart Hall was first accused, he denied the charge, but with the support of the Law for the 13 women he confessed in the Court.

The dog of the thirteen girls, now women has human support, without the support of the Government, the Police and the Lawyers behind them, it would have been impossible to confront Stuart Hall to answer for the crime he committed after twenty seven years.  Their dog has indeed killed the monkey, because the Judge has sentenced Stuart Hall to fifteen months imprisonment.

Teaching the children to be a “Gentleman” is what the parents of old aspired to instil on the children, unlike the parents of nowadays that are striving to acquire so much wealth in place of moral character.  Reading the interview granted to the Sun Newspapers showed that the virtue inculcated in the children while they are young becomes very useful to the family and other people in future.  The moral character passed on to Gov. Fashola by his parents while he was young has become useful for his family and Lagos State.

Yoruba adage that “If the head remains long on earth, it becomes fortunate” showed that even though Gov. Fashola did not set out as a Politician/Public Servant, fate directed him towards that path.  According to the “Yoruba Proverbs” by Oyekan Owomoyela’s translation “The lot of a valorous person is not simple, he is called upon at home and he is called upon in battle (A great person is subject to demands from all sides)”, it could also mean “Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”. Gov. Fashola is striving hard in Lagos State but there is an awful lot to do.

Congratulations Governor, may joy of the celebration of your 50th birthday continue to the end, and may you live long to celebrate many more birthdays on earth (Amen).

Long live Lagos State!!!

Many Yoruba indigenes that are doing well both at home and abroad never made any news.  It is unfortunate that the few that engaged in evil acts like: drug peddling, cultism, stealing etc. are destroying the good work of the others.

Yoruba adage said “He/She who steals destroys the innocence of a child”, news about good deed never spread like the news of the recent evil act committed by the duo: Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale that spread all over the world.

It is apt for the Government and all Yoruba indigenes to join hands to condemn evil because according to the Yoruba proverb, “One slave causes the abuse of two hundred”.

Late Drummer Lee Rigby (aged 25) left a good name and legacy for his family, friends and colleagues while the “Killers Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale” destroyed their family names.

Michael Adebolajo (aged 28) and Michael Adebowale (aged 22) that killed Soldier, Drummer Lee Rigby at Woolwich did not live up to the adage that said “Names do guide action” because of their evil act.  Michael “the name of an Angel that defend” that is often given by Christians to babies at birth during “Naming Ceremony” or “Baptism”.  “Adebolajo” means “Crown blends with wealth” while “Adebowale” means “The Crown returned Home”.  These two Family Names are commonly used by the “Yoruba Monarchs and the Chief’s family that can be crowned”.

According to the Yoruba adage “Good name is better than Silver and Gold” only when such family members use the names in a positive manner but in this case, Adebolajo and Adebowale family names have been destroyed as a result of this evil act.

Yoruba indigenes and all Nigerians particularly those in the United Kingdom mourn the loss of Late Soldier, Drummer Lee Rigby, and pray that God will console his family.

After ten years, judgement began for the kidnapper (Ariel Castro that abducted three women – Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight).  When the hands of the law caught up with Ariel Castro, all the energy he was using to oppress became powerless.

Yoruba proverb said “The thief was caught once, he said he has never been there, who showed him the thief the way?” This Yoruba adage can be used to address all evil doers like this, that there is judgement.  Ariel Castro appeared lowly as if he was incapable of carrying out such a crime that he perpetrated for over ten years.

AFTER TEN YEARS, POLICE RELEASEDTHREE WOMEN FROM CAPTIVITY

One of the Yoruba prayers said “God should deliver us from those watching us without our knowledge”, this prayer was answered for the three women that were kidnapped over ten years ago.  One of the captive had a baby of six years in captivity.

It is an incomparable sadness for anyone to miss a child.  Yoruba adage said “A dead child is better than a loss one”, this must have accounted for the death of the mother of one of the women in captivity, it is unfortunate that she did not live to witness the joyous release of her daughter kept captive by Ariel Castro.  It was a miracle that these women came out alive because many missing persons were never found alive or dead.

The news of the three women’s release by the Police from their captor’s house was announced on Monday, May 6, 2013.
